Who Is Horizon Family Solutions?
We believe in the impossible.
We think every child can have, do, or be anything they can imagine.
Horizon Family Solutions is widely recognized as a leader in the ethical and professional delivery of adolescent crisis intervention, educational consulting, student assessments, and special education advocacy. We serve clients locally, nationally and internationally. Over the years, we have seen thousands of clients with a broad range of challenges and issues.
These challenges and issues have ranged from learning differences, behavior disorders and other types of school challenges, to emotional challenges and difficulties, such as defiance with authority in the community, at home, or in school, to troubled teens involved in the juvenile justice system.
The mission of Horizon Family Solutions is to provide practical solutions and services to assist families and their students to engage in meaningful relationships with others, function independently and lead an improved quality of life. We assess with care and thoroughness your adolescent's challenges, goals, as well as their specific and unique needs. We assist families to create a plan for appropriate educational programs and treatment interventions, guiding them in identifying and considering the many factors that make up a successful long term plan.
In building the plan, we incorporate input from multiple sources including attorneys, coaches, family members, health care professionals with whom the student has worked, school counselors, teachers, therapists and the student her- or himself, when applicable.
We also review any prior educational and psychological assessments, school records and other relevant information. Our main company focus is the special needs child, adolescent and young adult. We do not accept any outside referral fees for our work with families and students, thereby maintaining the integrity of our
relationship with each client. We may also, at our discretion, limit the number of clients we accept at any one time, as we spend a great deal of individual time with each family.
